Shatakanthe Rabindranath (SKR), a chorale ensemble of selected Tagore songs that originated at the NABC 2015 under the sponsorship of the Tagore Society of Houston (TSH), overflew the boundaries of the George R Brown Convention Center in Houston, and reverberated from the Gulf of Mexico, to the Pacific and the Atlantic oceans – from Houston to New York to Santa Clara to the Atlantic City and lastly to the Baltimore Convention Center in 2019. A group of highly dedicated and talented singers ranging in numbers from 60 to 80 from across the United States and Canada took part in this unique program that was highly acclaimed by the audience each time it was staged. During the turbulence of this pandemic, the program was executed virtually online twice in 2020 and 2021 for the NABC.
